The Bayou Dupre Sector Gate is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Hurricane Protection Office HPO Project. The project included the construction of the Bayou Dupre sector gate structure located on the flood side of the existing structure.

The new sector gate consists of a pile-foundation and was to be tied into flood control levees by pile founded T-walls with a sheet pile cutoff wall and scour protection provided at the transition zones.

Southern Earth Sciences, Inc. provided field investigation and laboratory testing services for this levee improvement project including the subsurface drilling, sampling and laboratory testing of soil borings, Inclinometer and Piezometer installations and monitoring.
